Installation Considerations

Before installing the Smart Bird Feeder, the manufacturer recommends you fully charge the camera, using the provided USB C charging cable.

The Smart Bird Feeder must be located within range of your wireless internet.

Mounting Options

A bracket is included to mount the bird feeder on a fence, wooden post, or tree. If mounted on a tree, the camera-equipped bird feeder is vulnerable to squirrel or raccoon damage.

We recommend installing the Smart Bird Feeder using the Wild Birds Unlimited Advanced Pole System (APS).

APS components needed:

  • Large 1-piece Stabilizer (2342)
  • 4-ft Base Pole (2201)
  • 18-in Extension Pole (2203)
  • Tube Feeder Adapter (2226)

A squirrel baffle or raccoon baffle should be added to protect the birdhouse.
